Empowering Greece: Gabby Morritt’s Visionary Work in Local Schools

While Eye Will continues its impactful outreach in countries like Vietnam, founder Gabby Morritt is currently channeling her energy into transforming perspectives within her home base of Greece. As a visually impaired advocate who is fully fluent in Greek and a resident of the country, Gabby possesses a unique ability to connect deeply and authentically with local communities.

Through her dedicated awareness-raising activities and inspirational talks, Gabby visits schools across Greece to engage with young children in their native tongue. These sessions are designed to be immersive, turning abstract concepts of disability into tangible lessons on empathy. By sharing her daily life and the tools she uses to navigate the world, she demystifies visual impairment, replacing hesitation with genuine understanding. For the children she meets, Gabby is a living example of how resilience and a "can-do" spirit can overcome any physical barrier.

As the Founder of Eye Will, Gabby’s mission is to ensure that children and disabled individuals worldwide receive the support and advocacy they deserve. Her work in Greece serves as a vital heartbeat for the organization, proving that local, grassroots advocacy is the first step toward global change. By empowering the next generation of Greeks to embrace diversity, Gabby is building a foundation of compassion that resonates far beyond the Mediterranean.
